Airbus A330

History
A330-300 NorthWest Airlines ŠAirbus

The A330 and A340 are designed to use the same fuselage cross-section as the A300 and A310, with a new and longer centre section to mate with a new wing, thus providing an extra 5.2 m (17ft) of additional seating capacity. The new wing is common to both the A330 and A340, with the ability to accommodate either two or four engines.
